The curly shell jackpot

We are loving beach exploration and made our best discovery yet.  Rickett’s Point, about a 10-15 minute drive south of us, is a beautiful, bay area, wildlife sanctuary.  Claire hit the mother-load when it came to curly shells…  and our first Aussie pelican.

This is a perfect place for my kids to seek out and explore.  Little pools, rocks, seashells, pelicans, and fish to be found.   Lots of seaweed, but that’s what helps to protect the environment.  We will be back when the weather warms up and we are able to get our feet wet.  Poor Colin stood as close to the water’s edge as possible giving me that look.  Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I could squeeze a blade of grass between him and the ripple of water.  The only disappointment was the fact that the weather didn’t agree with our objectives.  This is a great beach find.
